Major League Cricket (MLC) is gearing up for its second season, kicking off on July 5. This year’s edition will be bigger with six additional league matches, according to the organizers who announced the tournament’s schedule on Tuesday.
Following the league stage, excitement will continue with a four-match playoff series to be held in Grand Prairie, Texas.
Six teams to compete for the coveted title
The format remains the same as the first season, featuring six teams: MI New York, Texas Super Kings, LA Knight Riders, Seattle Orcas, Washington Freedom and San Francisco Unicorns.
Defending champions MI New York will clash with the 2023 runner-up Seattle Orcas in the opening game on July 5. Later that same day, Texas Super Kings will battle it out against LA Knight Riders in Texas.
The tournament finale is scheduled for July 28.
